For a small group of students, 2011 has also become the year that the Rabbit met the Cheetahs -- the A.B. Chandler Elementary School Cheetahs, that is -- and became family. A contingent of students from the Anshan Leading Foreign Languages Training School from Anshan City in China visited their American pen pals from Chandler Elementary School this week and exchanged some information and experiences about Chinese culture for information and experiences about American culture. The Chandler Elementary students have been pen pals with students from the school in Anshan since about 2008, said Tina Men, principal of the Anshan Leading Foreign Languages Training School and a coordinator of the trip.
